Crispin Rhodes helps raise over £4000 for the Alzheimer’s Society

Supported by Crispin Rhodes, Santander pensioners Kim Ford and Fred Mercer, and Santander employee Abbegail Williams beat February’s snow to raise over £4000 for the Alzheimer’s Society. On the 10th February over 150 people braved the winter weather to take part in the first charity quiz of the year organised by the trio. The event, held in Buckingham, quickly sold-out and despite the inches of snow outside attracted a full house of local businesses, networking groups and residents. Angela Rhodes from the sponsoring company Crispin Rhodes, who has already raised over £50,000 for charity, was overwhelmed by people’s generosity and support – “I just want to thank everyone who, despite a tough economy and terrible weather, made the evening such a success – from the quizzers who took part to Wyatt James who provided a spectacular buffet for the evening and LiquidBars who kindly donated all of the night’s bar takings to the total too. The work the Alzheimer’s Society does is so close to my heart and it was overwhelming to see so many people out in support of the charity” And the quiz is only the first event Crispin Rhodes and the Santander trio will be organising this year – “Between myself and our Franchisees this is only the start of our fund raising in 2012. We’re already planning our next event and hope to keep on raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society throughout the year. The work the charity does is too important to rest on our laurels”
