Hi,

In this bulletin we look at the Governments review of red tape in employment legislation and the consultation that has recently been launched relating to family leave, news that sickness absence is continuing to decline and some advice on performance reviews.

There’s also an invitation to all our readers to join us in cheering on the Crispin Rhodes Crusaders at the Olney 7’s rugby tournament at Olney Rugby Club on Saturday, 9th July.

As ever, your feedback is always appreciated so please do let us know if there’s anything else you would like to see in our e-Bulletin.

Performance Reviews

We are often asked about the introduction or review of appraisal/performance review systems and regularly find complicated systemsthat are dreaded by both managers and subordinates.

Sickness Absence on the Decrease

A joint survey carried out by the manufacturing organisation EEF and Insurer, Westfield Health, has revealed that sickness absence between 2007 and 2010 is following a downward trend.

Olney Rugby 7's

Olney 7’s is becoming an annual event with success every year for the Crispin Rhodes Crusaders team. The tournament, which is held every July at Olney Rugby Club on the Buckinghamshire/Northamptonshire border, seems blessed with good weather. Having reached the Quarter Finals in 2009 and runners up in 2010, the pressure is on to win the tournament this year.

So why not come and join us for a fun, family day out and to cheer on the crusaders! Click here to find out more
