Hello,

Welcome to the December edition of our HR eBulletin!

With Christmas just around the corner I wanted to start this month by wishing you a very happy Christmas and all the best for 2012. And, as is a Crispin Rhodes tradition, instead of sending out Christmas cards we've made a donation to the Alzheimer's Society, one of our supported charities.

And speaking of Christmas, with the chaos that prevailed following last year's snow you may want to take a moment to read our article below on HR planning for snow related staff absence and how to minimise its impact on your business. Also, our blog has posts on running successful Christmas parties and some advice when employing seasonal staff.

Away from Christmas, there have been some announcements from the Government including important delays to the new compulsory pension regulations and an announcement from Vince Cable outlining the Government's proposals to make the most significant changes to HR law in years. You can find more below.

Lastly, it's been a busy few months for Crispin Rhodes and if you missed our recent email announcing the main changes and developments you can still read it by clicking here

For now, thank you again for your support over 2011 and all the best for 2012.

Kind Regards
Angela Rhodes
