Employment Tribunal Trends

Posted on by

Her Majesty’s Court and Tribunal Service (HMCTS) recently published the quarterly statistics for the period January to March 2013 and these show a 36% increase in the number of Employment Tribunal claims received, compared to the same period last year. Looking at specifics, there was:
  • A 39% increase in claims for failure to follow or consult on redundancy;
  • A 39% fall in claims for failure to inform and consult on a TUPE transfer;
  • A 74% increase in sex discrimination claims; and
  • A 24% fall in age discrimination claims.
So remember, no company that has followed Crispin Rhodes’ advice has ever successfully been taken to a tribunal or has ever fallen foul of any HR-related legal minefield. Let us help you do the same.
